I.ISO 6942 EN 366 Thermal Radiation Resistance Tester for Protective Materials
The thermal radiation resistance tester is designed to evaluate the thermal radiation protection performance of protective materials, complying with standards such as ISO 6942 and EN 366. The instrument supports two test methods: Method A involves a visual assessment of changes in the material's appearance following exposure to thermal radiation; Method B measures the Radiant Heat Transfer Index (RHTI)-based on the time required for the temperature on the back of the specimen to rise by 12°C or 24°C-to determine the material's thermal protection performance.

ISO 6942 EN 366 Radiant Protective Performance Tester for Protective Clothing Radiant Heat Test
II. Main Features
1. The test apparatus consists of a radiation unit, a specimen holder, and a data acquisition and software system;
2. The thermal radiation unit comprises six Glowbar heating elements, capable of operating at temperatures of at least 1100°C;
3. The specimen clamping mechanism utilizes a circulating water cooling system for protection;
4. A copper disc calorimeter made of oxygen-free superconducting copper is used to measure thermal radiation flux;
5. The specimen holder is horizontally adjustable, allowing for thermal radiation flux measurements at various positions;
6. A weight mechanism is included to apply a standard 2N force to the specimen;
7. The data acquisition system records parameters such as thermal radiation flux, temperature, and time;
8. Equipped with a computer and printer for data output and test report printing.
