The Flooring Radiant Panel Tester is used to measure the critical radiant flux of floor coverings. Critical radiant flux refers to the incident heat per unit area. A higher incident heat value means the material requires more heat to ignite, indicating better stability and lower risk of ignition.
This test apparatus is equipped with a thermal radiation source and a T-shaped burner. As the test specimen is placed farther away from the radiation source, the thermal radiant flux received on its surface decreases. The specimen is ignited by the T-shaped burner. After the flame extinguishes, the damage distance of the specimen is measured, and the corresponding thermal radiant flux value is the critical radiant flux.

1. The stainless steel test chamber adopts a front-opening door design for easy cleaning of the inner chamber wall.
2. The inner wall of the chamber is lined with calcium silicate board, featuring high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance.
3. A stainless steel smoke hood unit is installed above the combustion test chamber.
4. A 300*450mm porous ceramic radiant panel is mounted at an angle of 30 degrees.
5. A T-type porous burner is supplied to apply open flame to the specimen with cylinder driving mode.
6. The optical path system includes an incandescent light source with a color temperature of 2900 ± 100 K, and a silicon photodiode as the light receiver.
7. A shutter is installed in front of the silicon photodiode, which can be automatically opened and closed by the computer test software for convenient calibration.
8. A rotameter is used to adjust the flame height of the T-type burner.
9. A propane mass flow meter regulates the gas flow of the radiant panel with digital display.
10. A built-in blower provides air supply, and the test gas is mixed via a venturi mixer.
11. A mass flow controller is adopted to adjust the inlet air flow of the radiant panel.
12. SB water-cooled heat flux meter, measuring range: 0-50 kW/m2, heat flux meter accuracy: <±2%, response time: 0.2 s. Equipped with a portable cooling water source, no external water connection required.
13. The heat flux meter is movable for convenient calibration of radiant flux of the radiant panel. Meanwhile, the test software can generate the standard radiant flux curve.
14. A foot switch is equipped. Users can capture the flame spread time corresponding to the flame spread distance, which will be automatically recorded by the computer.
15. One chimney thermocouple and one chamber thermocouple are installed, with readings displayed on the computer software.
16. An infrared radiometer is equipped to detect the temperature of the radiant panel, and the data can be displayed on computer software.
17. Equipped with a 15-inch industrial touch screen computer. Users can monitor the whole combustion test process through the test software.
18. The software can display test-related data including radiant flux value, smoke density curve, transmittance curve, wind speed and other parameters.
