Torch and Grit (TaG) Test Equipment is used to evaluate the performance of battery enclosure materials under simulated battery thermal runaway conditions. The test uses sheet specimens instead of full battery assemblies for material performance assessment, which can effectively reduce development costs and shorten development cycles.

1. Integrated design with steel structure and an open test platform to reduce heat accumulation.
2. A stainless steel smoke hood is mounted on top of the test platform to collect flue gas generated from specimen combustion; exhaust air volume is adjustable.
3. Imported flame-spray burner (consistent with that used in UL laboratories), capable of supplying flame-only jet and flame-grit jet.
4. Outer dimension of the burner nozzle: approx. 28.6 mm diameter, equipped with 30 methane supply ports, 78 oxygen supply ports and grit supply ports.
5. The burner can deliver a 3 kW flame jet and a 1.5 g/s grit-laden flame jet.
6. Spark igniter equipped for ignition.
7. Mass flow controllers regulate methane, oxygen and air flow, with built-in temperature and pressure compensation.
