The oxygen concentration index tester is designed to test combustibility by oxygen concentration, letting user know minimum oxygen concentration as necessary for combustion.
The working principle is: Place the specimen into the testing chimney, filling with oxygen and nitrogen into the chimney, ignite the specimen, then measure the min concentration of oxygen to support continuous combustion.
ASTM D 2863:to determine the minimum concentration ofoxygen in an oxygen/nitrogen mixture that will support a flaming burn ina plastic specimen.
ISO 4589-2:specifies methods for exposing specimens to xenon-arc light in the presence of moisture to reproduce the weathering effects that occur when materials are exposed in actual end-use environments in daylight or daylight filtered through window glass
